This self-test LED emergency remote pack is designed to provide reliable emergency backup lighting for compatible LED luminaires. Ideal for commercial, retail, office and public-access installations, it allows a connected LED fitting to continue operating in emergency mode for up to 3 hours in the event of a mains power failure.

The unit is suitable for use with LED round panels operating within a 10–50V DC forward voltage range and provides a 3W nominal emergency output. It includes a built-in Li-ion battery system and automatic charging function, helping ensure the luminaire remains ready for emergency use when required.

The self-test function can be enabled by removing the self-test jumper from the top of the pack. Once enabled, the unit carries out functional and duration testing in accordance with BS EN 50172:2004. The LED indicator provides clear status feedback, including standby, charging, test mode, battery fault, temperature fault and light source fault.

Installation Notes

  • The total cable length between the LED driver, LED module and emergency pack must not exceed 1.0m.
  • The self-test function is disabled by default and can be enabled by removing the self-test jumper.
  • The battery must be recharged within 6 months of full discharge.
  • The battery should be replaced when the rated emergency duration is no longer achieved after a full recharge.
  • Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring regulations.
